You know you’re excited to attend a music festival when you’re shopping for outfits before you’ve even bought tickets. Last year, I was fortunate enough to attend my first music festival, Lollapalooza in beautiful Chicago with some beautiful girls. This year, I found no reason NOT to attend the Governor’s Ball on Randall’s Island since I live here. While I’m excited that I finally get to see Yeezy perform, the highlight of this concert will be Guns N Roses – DO NOT EVEN PLAY. Useless Abi fact #79: Per my older cousins influence, heavy metal/hard rock were the first music genres I was introduced to as a kid. I grew up on Van Halen, Skid Row, Warrant, Bon Jovi, and Metallica before discovering hip-hop.
Anyway, I got lucky and came well prepared to Lollapalooza, and made it through the weekend without a hitch. I would have to say that the three most important things when attending music festivals like this is to wear comfortable clothing especially shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, protecting yourself from the sun (water and sunscreen will save your life folks!) and having fun! Sounds simple enough, but seriously if you’re scared of dirty or are afraid of the sun DON’T GO or cop VIP tickets otherwise you will be miserable.
Asides from that, you can’t really go wrong with good friends, good music, and cold beer! Below is one outfit I plan on wearing to the festival … once I buy tickets of course lol.

BTW. I would never wear those actual dunks to the festival, that’s shoe-icide. But some comfortable kicks, preferably black ones will do the trick!
